On Januray 5th, 2012, J.R. Hafer and myself headed north to Sanford to fly the Cirrus back down to Lake Wales (X07). J.R. is an aviation writer and a friend of Ridge Landing Airpark and was kind enough to arrange a ride up to Sanford. We were picking the Cirrus up from a maintenance shop who repaired the faulty MFD. We hopped in the plane and got ready to depart. Sanford ground and tower was extremely busy but soon enough we blasted off into the beautiful blue Florida sky! J.R. was immediately impressed by the power of the Cirrus on takeoff and then he was even more impressed by the modern Avidyne avionics! We flew south just west of Orlando and in less than 20 minutes we were over top Lake Wales. We then Decided to head down to Ridge Landing for a small photo-op. Check out the pictures below and stay tuned for J.R. Hafer's article on Ridge Landing Airpark!
